Construction Details
The goal with the development of the new construction method was to achieve a 50% reduction in weight and comparable strength/durability with molded plastic hulls.
Testing
Abrasion and UV stability compare favorably with plastic kayaks. To evaluate impact resistance, test pieces were fabricated to identify the ideal combination of foam density and coating composition

Modular design simplifies transport and storage with quick & easy assembly/disassembly
Transport and Storage
The light weight and modular construction greatly simplify transport and storage. The modular hull will fit inside many SUV's and inside the bed of most trucks. Storage of smaller pieces that nest together saves space.
